ICMR to develop real-time surveillance system to combat zoonotic spillover from birds

An inter-ministerial scientific study will be carried out across bird sanctuaries and wetlands to create India’s first real-time early warning system to detect zoonotic diseases in sanctuary workers and nearby communities.
